At Swim

At Swim is the new album from Irish artist Lisa Hannigan. Produced by Aaron Dessner (The National), this is Hannigan's third - and most bewitching - record.

Recording took place in a church in Hudson, New York, during a furiously creative seven-day stint. Hannigan first came to light as a somewhat mysterious figure singing harmonies alongside Damien Rice and contributing significantly to Rice's platinum-selling debut O and critically lauded follow up 9. They played together for seven years, but it wasn't until the release of her solo debut Sea Sew that the full spectrum of her abilities became apparent.

Lisa has since been stretching her musical expertise in many directions: collaborating with artists as diverse as Ray LaMontagne, Richard Hawley, Herbie Hancock and Glen Hansard.

At Swim follows the double-platinum, Mercury-nominated debut Sea Sew (2008). Sea Sew also saw Hannigan nominated for the Choice Music Prize and two Meteor Music Awards. 2011's Passenger charted at number one in Ireland and earned Lisa her second Choice Music Prize nomination.
