"Forever enshrined in the annals of popular music of the 20th century, this is the album that brought the Floyd to the masses. Complete with superb songs, introspective lyrics (centering on human frustrations) and some of the world's tastiest guitar solos, "The Dark Side of the Moon" was certainly way ahead of its time when it first emerged during 1973. The re-mastering, etc. that it has gone through in recent years has been totally beneficial, making this "classic" recording even better.

Yes, for the most glorious moments in progressive music -- or "acid rock" as some might call it -- check out the incredibly atmospheric "Breathe", the VC3 synth effects from "On the Run", the tom toms intro to "Time", the funky, odd time signature of "Money", and especially Clare Torry's wailing lead vocal on "The Great Gig in the Sky". Add to this the moving Rick Wright penned "Us and Them", the climatic "Eclipse", and Roger Waters's thought-provoking lyrics throughout… well, you get the picture.

"The Dark Side of the Moon" is fantastic in every way, shape, manner and form, and has certainly enlightened my life considerably -- I can unreservedly recommend it to everyone, everywhere!"
