Neil Cowley has been a member of Zero 7, The Brand New Heavies and a founder of Fragile State. 'Dis-placed' is an outstanding album of original material that presents Cowley as a thoroughly modern player with an impeccable touch.

Working with Richard Sadler on bass and New Zealander Evan Jenkins on drums he has created a hard swinging trio with tremendous flair that can create beautiful and forceful music by turns. It's been described in Jazz wise as ""Thrilling... Dynamic... One of the most distinctive debuts you're likely to hear this year.…if you're a fan of E.S.T. and want their momentum and ideas moulded and taken to a new level by a UK band, then this is it…wrapping stabbing, hyper-confident vamps…a case, if ever there was one, for placing an advanced order at your local record shop today."

"...the most exciting artist since the likes of F-ire collective, Polar Bear and Acoustic Ladyland...."
