To construct the tallest building in the world the designers of Taipei 101 didn't conquer nature -- they outsmarted her. Taipei 101 was designed to handle anything nature could throw at it, from typhoons to earthquakes. It's a building so huge, with a design so innovative, it has changed the conventions of construction forever.
ii. Man Made Marvels :- Petronas Towers
'Man Made Marvels :- Petronas Towers' is the story of Malaysia's latest addition to Kuala Lumpur's glittering skyline, and about the dedicated team of people who built a landmark for Malaysia's future. Combining Islam's traditional motifs with inspiration from contemporary Malaysia, Petronas Towers -- an 88 storey, 452 metre twin towered skyscraper was the tallest building in the world at the time of its completion.
iii. Man Made Marvels :- Ultimate Casino
On the tiny islands of Macau, a massive construction project is underway. The world's ultimate casino, The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel, will be one of the most elaborate entertainment complexes ever built. The magnitude & scale of this project presents the construction team with the daunting task of replicating the style + ambience of 15th century Italy in modern day Macau.
