How to Order

Bookmark Our Website

When our home page presents itself, you can then choose which section you wish to view, by clicking on "cd", "classical", "dvd", "hardware" or "apparel" from the top menu. The sidebar menu will reflect which section you are in, by displaying the choice of sub-sections (e.g. "new zealand", "pop", "jazz", etc. for the "cd" section).

Note: If you wish to bookmark our website, please bookmark the "home" page -- the site may not function correctly if you bookmark the checkout page.

Please also note this site tries to use a cookie, if you have them turned on, but it will still function if you have turned cookies off.

Searching

To find a specific title or artist, type in the artist’s name and/or a word or two from the title into the "search" box. For classical -- simple is best. Enter the composer, plus one or two words of the work (e.g. "Beethoven violin sonata").

A list of items (in order of availability -- Pre-order, In Stock, Low Stock, Supplier Stock…) will appear which match your request. Please note: You can choose to have the search results sorted alphabetically, or by price, format, etc. by clicking the appropriate "sort" button at the top of the list.

The results that appear are for a "concise" search. For further items related to what you are looking for, click "+" and the option for "expanded" search will be displayed.

To get a more detailed result, click on "advanced" search. Choose which section you wish to use on the drop down menu -- further options will be revealed from there, so you can pinpoint precisely what you are after.

Selecting

When you find the item that you wish to purchase, simply click on "add to cart" and enter the quantity you require. If you wish to buy more items, continue shopping before going to the checkout. Items can be added or removed from your cart at any time.

For items not currently available locally an "email us" button will show instead of "add to cart", this provides an easy method to check on the possibility of sourcing hard to get items.

Registering

If you have not placed an order with marbecks.co.nz before, you will need to register as a customer before purchasing. This can be done from the "Your Account" page -- or simply shop as normal, then head to the checkout. On the page asking you to login, click on the "new customer" button, near the top, to register. Please enter your details plus a password (that you will never forget!) on the registration page. Please double check that your details (particularly your email address) are entered correctly. Then click the "create account" button to continue.

On future visits to marbecks.co.nz you can simply login by entering your email address and password. All info except your credit card details will be already filled in for you on the order form.

Credit Card Payment

We accept all major credit cards - including Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners, Farmers Card & Q Card. Simply choose which credit card you prefer as the payment type on the checkout page. You will be asked for the card type, number, expiry date and security number.

Then just click the "place order" button at the bottom of the page and that’s it! We will contact you as soon as possible regarding the status of your order.

Your credit card will only be billed for items that are in stock, when they are ready to ship.

Bank Transfer

If you wish to make payment by bank transfer, simply choose the appropriate payment method on the checkout page. When your order is complete, we will then contact you regarding the status of your selected goods and how you can make payment.

Note: Please do not make payment for goods until we have instructed you how and when to do so.

Other Forms of Payment

If you wish to make payment by gift card, Giftstation cards, Q Card, Farmers Card or ASB True Rewards you can choose the appropriate payment method on the checkout page, then simply fill in your details when prompted.

AA Rewards

As of 31/10/2011 the AA Rewards program ceased to exist. All customer orders processed and dispatched prior to this date (and eligible for points accrual) have been processed accordingly. Orders placed before 31/10/2011, but not yet billed/dispatched will not be eligible for points accrual.
