Yes folks, 'Trance-Fusion' is an album of guitar solos, completed by Frank Zappa shortly before his death, but not released until 2006.

Zappa's synapse-frying guitar freak-outs are as awe-inspiring as ever they were and this album as a whole works beautifully. His elongated flurries and passages of notes cascade perfectly over the throbbing dynamics of his bandmates; emphasizing the brilliant union of the rehearsed and the improvised together as a single, cohesive medium. Essentially then, 'Trance-Fusion' takes the listener away on a highly rewarding journey into the world of one of modern music's most enigmatic composers / musicians - when you return you may not be quite the same person as when you left, but don't worry, the enlightening process is a pleasant one.

Frank is missed, but at least we have these lovingly crafted posthumous releases to enjoy. And thus, I deem 'Trance-Fusion' completely essential for all prog-heads and fusion junkies - it'll blow your mind!"
