Imaginary Diseases

[ Zappa Records / CD ]

The music on 'Imaginary Diseases' is from the early '70s and is a fusion of jazz, blues and rock that develops into lengthy jams - with Zappa's superb guitar work at the forefront.

'Imaginary Diseases' features the "Petit Wazoo" Zappa band from 1972 - the first proper release from that line-up (which is a smaller version of the band that recorded the 'Waka Jawaka' and 'Grand Wazoo' albums). The excellent horn section is comprised of Bill Watrous (on trombone) and other top LA area jazz musicians.
