DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE
The original Doctor film that inspired many sequels. Dirk Bogarde plays the wide-eyed, innocent medical student Simon Sparrow arriving at St Swithin's Hospital. He falls in with a crowd of students who are all senior to him but who have been kept down in the first year. With them, he must master the problems of patients, teachers, nurses and an over-friendly landlady's daughter! Dr Sparrow has many hilarious hurdles to overcome before he qualifies. A British comedy of classic status.

DOCTOR AT SEA
Dirk Bogarde plays Simon Sparrow, who is bored of practicing medicine on dry land so sets off for the sea. Aboard a steamship he encounters various eccentric characters whilst getting himself into his usual scrapes and blundering his way through a series of comedy moments. Love interest comes in the form of Brigitte Bardot, in her first role for British audiences.

DOCTOR AT LARGE
Follow Dr Simon Sparrow (Dirk Bogarde) as he ventures in to the 'real' world looking for work. As he tried various roles in the country, Harley St and towns, Dr Sparrow undergoes a variety of hilarious medical and romantic adventures then only ends up where he started, with Sir Lancelot at St Swithin's.

DOCTOR IN LOVE
Sir Lancelot Spratt is giving his medical students a slating to remember over a patient. The patient himself is Dr Richard Hare, a student who has fallen ill with jaundice and, due to the enticing Night Nurse, has fallen in love. So too, however, has the doctor attending his case, and both are shattered when she walks out of their lives. After recovering, Richard sets off to troubled pastures new, and no sooner has he fallen in love again, than along comes his formerly beloved Night Nurse!

DOCTOR IN DISTRESS
Dirk Bogarde plays Simon Sparrow for the final time in this, his last in the Doctor series. Sir Lancelot is usually shouting and yelling his way round the hospital, so it surprises everyone greatly when he suddenly becomes quiet, polite and considerate. What on earth can be the matter? Has he caught a disease? Doctor Sparrow decides to investigate and finds Lancelot to be suffering from an incurable condition - he is in love! Turning to Sparrow for advice, Lancelot attempts to woo his beloved, meanwhile Sparrow's love life is, as ever, far from quiet!

DOCTOR IN CLOVER
Dr Gaston Grimsdyke suffers from a keener interest in studying nurses than patients. Sir Lancelot Spratt is determined to make a successful physician out of him and offers him a job at his hospital. No sooner has Grimsdyke started his job, however, than he causes a large amount of chaos and disruption, as usual!

DOCTOR IN TROUBLE
Our hero, Dr Burke, greatly resents the success of the heart-throb television doctor, Basil Beauchamp (alias Dr Dare). When Basil is admitted to hospital under his care, he is about to relish in the situation until Sir Lancelot, a fan of Dr Dare, takes over and announces that he needs a holiday. Burke meanwhile is after a top US medical post, but for this he needs to be married. He has chosen a model as his bride to be, and follows her on a cruise. What he discovers is that she is in fact on the same boat as Dr Dare and is one of the women attempting to woo him!
