Evgeny Kissin & Emerson String Quartet, Keith Jarrett's Well-Tempered Clavier, 40 Years Of Chandos, Einaudi, $20 specials, Best Sellers & more
Pianist Evgeny Kissin teamed up with Emerson String Quartet for a chamber music live recording from sold out Carnegie Hall, in April 2018. This is a super star fusion of musicians performing mesmerizing repertoire: an exquisite Fauré, a stormy Mozart and a sweepingly sensual Dvořák.
In a live recording from Troy, New York, made in March 1987, just one month after his studio recording of the work, Keith Jarrett addresses the challenges of Bach's great set of preludes and fugues once more.
Released to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Chandos is a handsomely packaged 40-disc set comprises 40 complete recordings from the label's extensive catalogue. Each of the four decades is represented, and each recording has been hand-picked by the Managing Director, Ralph Couzens, because it represents a turning point, or 'Landmark', in the development of the label.
