Jazzanova and Resoul return with another gilded box of secret twisted folk gems specially selected by their goodselves, over the last 12 months, whilst digging in record stores big, small and tiny, across the world. On 'Secret Love 2' we are treated to a more electronic slant than the original volume - though we still sit closely to that folk twist which so enchants.

While the selectors might be known for their dancefloor sensibilities, like most people really into music, it's not all about one style. This compile shows another side to Jazzanova and Resoul - one where, after the monster club tunes have already sunk deep into their huge record store bags, they like to find nice 7" folk pearls to listen to and spread the good word about.

'Secret Love 2' features exclusive tracks for our summer listening from Thief and new signing 1Luv alongside Jazzanova's fave band Fat Freddy's Drop [currently creating quite a stir in the UK, Germany and Holland]; there's b-Net favourites in Roger Robinson's glorious 'Dream Keepa' and 4Hero's Beatles-esque remix of Chungking; there's the telling ear of a boundary-crossing electronic DJ present tracks from Psapp, Marz and G-Litter and remixes by Akufen of Brooks' 'Tell Somebody About Us'; and, an acoustic pop gem from Freeform Five, dubbed sweeping, swongstress electronica from Fleckfumie, Tuung's acoustic folk masterpiece 'Tale From Black' and none other than Daft Punk, with their soundtrack, ambient groove.
