Daniel Lanois was originally known for producing some truly groundbreaking albums for artists such as Peter Gabriel, U2, Robbie Robertson, Bob Dylan and more!

His songs are influenced from both his Québécois heritage and his adopted home New Orleans; mixing English and French as easily as he alternates between soulful croon and traditional folksiness.

'Rockets' is a combination of live recordings and studio alternative takes from Daniel's previous record and masterpiece, 'Shine'. His "renegade” album as he puts it! The song "Stormy Sky" was recorded with Emmylou Harris and Willie Nelson.

'Rockets' sounds like a curious and mysterious piece read from his diary. The collection features many of Lanois' characteristic sound design features. All of these sounds are used more to evoke a mood, and the emotional impact is stunning. Like all of Daniel's albums 'Rockets' is another atmospheric, timeless recording.
