Plain White T's is a pop / rock band based in Villa Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The members are Tom Higgenson (vocals), Dave Tirio (guitar), Mike Retondo (bass and vocals), De'Mar Hamilton (drums), and Tim Lopez (guitar, vocals)
For almost a decade, the Plain White T's have been playing to packed audiences craving for their perfect pop / punk punch. Their journey, which began in a small suburban basement playing covers, has taken the band to Warped Tour three times, landed them opening slots for bands like Jimmy Eat World and AFI, and now finds the high-energy five-piece about to kick-off the 2006 Nintendo Fusion Tour with Hawthorne Heights.
'Every Second Counts' is their major label debut - with two US hit tracks from their previous indie release added to the New Zealand version!
Plain White T's won the "Breaking Woodie" Award. The "Breaking Woodie" is mtvU's Best Emerging Artist Award. The band was up against The Arctic Monkeys, Chamillionaire, Imogen Heap, and Lupe Fiasco.
