Our favourite hillbilly rockers, Hayseed Dixie return with their sixth full-length studio album 'Weapons of Grass Destruction', which was recorded 'live' in three days and mixed on Christmas Eve 2006.
Following critics stating their previous albums didn't quite match the careening, drunken, reckless intensity of their live shows, Hayseed Dixie decided to drink as much as they do on stage and record the album 'live' whilst intoxicated in the studio!
This album features the band's own original material, alongside their unique "dixie-isations” of songs by the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Sex Pistols, Scissor Sisters, Judas Priest and even Cliff Richard! And for the first time in Hayseed Dixie history, drums make an appearance on two songs. Track 9 - a cover of the Status Quo song "Down Down” - features original Quo guitarist, Francis Rossi.
