Late Piano Sonatas

Born in Romania, Tamas Vesmes performed extensively throughout his homeland in his early career along with winning the National Competition for Young Soloists in Bucharest and the International Claude Debussy competition in Paris.

Since emigrating to the West he has performed extensively as a concert pianist, soloist and conductor in many of the world's major venues.

Tamas now resides in Auckland where he is Professor of Piano and Chamber Music Studies. He is also the Musical Director of the Auckland Sinfonietta Chamber Orchestra, and the founder and Director of the Auckland International Piano Festival.

This is his debut DVD and is repertoire he is well renowned for. The Beethoven last three piano sonatas are extremely important works and are exceptionally performed here.

Tamas has a good following here in New Zealand and there is bound to be good demand for this DVD.
