I'll Go Crazy chronicles the first five years-worth of recordings released by James Brown, with and without his backing group the Famous Flames. This is the first compilation to gather up all the singles sides and album tracks from this formative period, presenting them in order of recording date. As a bonus, it includes the hit single (Do The) Mashed Potatoes, credited to Nat Kendrick & The Swans, but featuring James Brown.
