'Meir' is the second album from Kvelertak after their self titled debut album in 2010. Kvelertak is a six piece rock band from Stavanger, Norway, formed in 2007. All of their tracks are written and performed in Norwegian and are usually based around Norse/Viking mythology. They are known for their consistent, idiosyncratic sound, with their main influences being Rock and Roll, Black Metal and Punk. In their time, they have won two Spellemann Awards, a prestigious Norwegian music award (similar to the Grammys) for Best Newcomer and Best Rock Band.
