Following on from the captivating release of 'I Am Chemistry', experimental Brooklyn rockers Yeasayer have cemented their return with the release of 'Silly Me', the first official single from their fourth album Amen & Goodbye - out April 1 via Mute & Create/Control.

Serving as the perfect counterweight to the sprawling, psychedelic, Chris Keating-fronted 'I Am Chemistry', 'Silly Me' ventures into the cosmic territory of Yeasayer classics like 'O.N.E.' and 'Ambling Alp', with Anand Wilder taking the vocal reigns as the track bounces, buzzes and warps through a futuristic prism of pop music. As per their signature, it sounds totally out of this world, and yet in fact did amazingly emanate from the third rock from the sun, premiering in the UK overnight on Radio 1 as Annie Mac's Hottest Record In The World.

The one-two combination of 'I Am Chemistry' and 'Silly Me' will undoubtedly reinvigorate the passion of Yeasayer fans ahead of the release of Amen & Goodbye, as they eagerly await the next chapter in the musical journey of the trio of Keating, Wilder, and Ira Wolf Tuton, who have been producing some of the most inspired rock of the last decade.

An album that is set to see the band return to basics by moving away from the digital-heavy approach of 2012's stellar Fragrant World, Amen & Goodbye was cut entirely to tape at Outlier Inn Studio in upstate New York, with the assistance and creativity of producer and drumming virtuoso Joey Waronker (Atoms For Peace, Beck) to construct a record that is an exhilarating expedition through themes of religion and transcendence, the afterlife and the search for meaning.

To visually interpret the album, Yeasayer also collaborated with renowned sculptor David Altmejd, whose striking statues and models were used not only to illustrate the gatefold artwork, but were also teamed up with director group New Team Ltd to create the warped imagery and surreal, futuristic settings for the music video for 'I Am Chemistry'.
