Some have described Ann Pascoe as one of New Zealand's best country singers...

"A clear, sweet voice with songs to match."

"A sincere stage presence that can warm the words of any song, many of which she has written herself."

Ann Pascoe is certainly an authentic country girl who was born on a back country sheep station, milked cows after her marriage and raised five children (accompanied by the sounds of Merle Haggard, The Statler Brothers and Hoyt Axton !) ... and with 'Somewhere Between Memories & Dreams' Ann is releasing her fifth album.

The backing music for 'Somewhere Between Memories & Dreams' was arranged in Nashville and the musicianship matches Anne's traditional country voice.

The thirteen songs are a mixture of upbeat ("Broken Hearts Will Mend Slowly", "Gotta Lotta Livin'"), plaintive ("Could It Be My Eyes Are Lying") and bluesy ("Hello Blues").  Three of the songs are written by Ann ("We've Got Country Song", "Country In My Bones", "This Can't Go Anywhere But Wrong") and the cover of Tanya Tucker's big hit "San Antonio Stroll" is one of the many highlights. Also ... check out the tasty steel guitar on "Old Broken Bones".

Ann Pascoe is in great demand as a "live" entertainer and along with backing band the Oldogs she has performed (will be performing) in venues/festivals in diverse towns and cities such as New Plymouth, Christchurch, Pirongia, Marton, Foxton, Takaka, Ngaruawahia, Te Awamutu and and Paihia. Ann regularly works with Kiwi country icon Dennis Marsh.
