Dvorak: Piano Concerto (Coupled with Schubert - 'Wanderer Fantasie' )

The rare and noble alliance of Sviatoslav Richter and Carlos Kleiber is formidably eloquent in making a case for Dvořák symphonically conceived Piano Concerto, here performed in the composer's original version, rather than the adaptation made by Vilém Kurz. It is complemented by a work for solo piano, Schubert's 'Wanderer' Fantasy, in which Richter again displays his masterly sense for musical architecture.
