Busoni's transcriptions of Bach are a delight to the ear
Busoni's transcriptions of Bach are a delight to the ear and an example of his phenomenal sense of the tonal possibilities of the piano, the instrument which was always at the centre of his compositional life.
This release features the transcriptions for piano of the Bach Toccata in C major for organ, Choral Preludes for organ and the great Chaconne from Partita No.2 for violin.
