Soprano Jane Eaglen enjoys one of the most formidable reputations in the opera world today. She has recently performed the contrasting roles of Norma and Brünnhilde to outstanding success, appearing in the complete Ring Cycle at La Scala, Milan under Riccardo Muti, with The Metropolitan Opera in San Francisco, and in Vienna.
She has sung the role of Norma at the Ravenna Festival, for Seattle Opera, Los Angeles Opera, at the Bastille-Opera, Paris and Scottish Opera. Other memorable performances include her debut as Isolde in Seattle and subsequently at the Met in New York and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. She has also performed to great acclaim the roles of Donna Anna, Tosca and Turandot. Jane Eaglen's recording of the role of Tosca for Chandos' Opera in English series was highly praised.
