"The performances are spontaneous and admirably paced"
- Penguin Guide

"The Op. 10 set shows Jandö at his most perceptive. Each sonata is boldly characterized with allegros crisply buoyant and well contoured. Slow movements are thoughtful and unfold in the most natural way. He is never self-conscious, yet readily projects his enjoyment of the music: the Minuet of Op. 10 No. 3 flows very gracefuly and the Rondo exhilarates. In Sonata No. 25 in G major, Op. 79 the Andante has an unexaggerated melancholy which is very appealing and the finale is bracingly strong."
- THE GUARDIAN - 2 August 1990

"Though Jandó's readings may not have the individuality of a Brendel or a Barenboim, they have a concertration and freshness which, never distracting you from Beethoven, is equally satisfying. They also have fuller, more faithful sound."
- GRAMOPHONE - Dec 90

They were recorded in the Italian Institute of Budapest. The result is a real piano sound: full, yet cleanly focused and bright, with the image not dulled by reverberation, yet placed in a believable ambience.

The style of the performances overall is immediately established. Jandó is a strong, unidiosyncratic Beethovenian. The Adagio of the F minor is simple and unaffected and the Prestissimo finale brilliantly articulated. similarly, the Scherzo of the A major sparkles. The third sonata of the set, in c major, is exceptionally successful; well paced throughtout, the Adagio flowing, the Scherzo and finale very well balanced. This is most impressive playing.
