Bernard Haitink has been acclaimed as one of the great Bruckner interpreters and he was one of the first to record all of the symphonies.
This pairing, from his acclaimed cycle with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, brings together the composer's last symphony — unfinished at the time of his death, with the less frequently heard "Linz" version of Symphony No.1.
The inclusion of one of Bruckner's greatest choral works, his Te Deum, makes for a substantial filler with the two symphonies.
