"The actual recording is exemplary. Warm and with all the depth one requires, Producer/Engineer Brad Michel should be congratulated."
- MusicWeb Nov 2004

With this reading of Opus 25, Frederic Chiu completes his cycle of the Chopin Études. Characterized by their greater complexity of counterpoint, rhythm and harmony, these showpieces are juxtaposed with some of the very last works penned by the Polish 'poet of the piano,' his Barcarolle, Berceuse and the Polonaise-Fantaisie. When speaking about the American pianist Frederic Chiu, audiences and critics have evoked Glenn Gould's offbeat interpretations and programming, Rachmaninov's aristocratic elegance, and Godowsky's virtuosity.

"Chiu delivers crisp, smart, articulate performances of Chopin that have a strong, provocative point of view."
- USA Today

"Chopin playing of exceptional musicianship, sensitivity and imagination..."
