[ Sub Rosa / 2 CD ]

Release Date: Monday 1 January 2001

For a fifth time the good folks over at Sub Rosa attempt to assemble some sort of coherent history of electronic music, this time focussing on the role of the voice in electroacoustic composition, and the avant-garde more broadly. This compilation features established 20th century icons like Charlemagne Palestine, Raoul Hausmann and Henri Chopin, setting them against more contemporary noise-makers like Sutcliffe Jugend, joining the gap with Ground Zero and Masonna.
