Following up on his disc of music from the time of Louis XV on the Taskin harpsichord, John Kitchen now turns to an earlier period, with the works of Louis Marchand, Louis and Francois Couperin, Jean-Henri d'Anglebert and Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre on the 1755 Luigi Baillon harpsichord from the Rodger Mirrey Collection. Kitchen studied seventeenth century French harpsichord music at Clare College, Cambridge, and is the conductor of Edinburgh University Singers and director of music at Old Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Edinburgh.
