The Italian Tenor - Vittorio Grigolo - has an extraordinary background story and he now shares this through a very personal album of sacred music. Schooled at the "very source of sacred music" - in the Sistine Chapel Choir, Vittorio returns to Rome and his childhood choir to present a special collection of beautiful, serene and spiritual songs that played a large role in his musical beginnings.
The songs chosen have a very personal connection to Vittorio. Hand-selected musical gems from his time spent in the Vatican's Sistine Chapel choir appear newly arranged and combined with eternally popular "holy hits" such as Schubert's "Ave Maria", Franck's "Panis Angelicus", Verdi's "Ingemisco" and Mozart's "Ave verum Corpus".
The album also offers a wealth of diverse and novel arrangements - on some songs Vittorio is joined by the Orchestra Roma Sinfonietta, and the Sistine Chapel Choir, while on others the tenor and chamber ensemble arrangements of "Panis Angelicus", "Ave verum
