Claude and Odile Delangle perform music for saxophone and/or piano.

One of today's greatest saxophonists, Claude Delangle stands out as the master of the French saxophone. An eminent interpreter of the classic saxophone works, he has also contributed to the instrument's repertoire by collaborating with the foremost composers of our time, including Luciano Berio, Pierre Boulez, Tōru Takemitsu and Ástor Piazzolla, while also promoting emerging talents. Delangle appears as a soloist with the most prestigious orchestras and conductors and is a regular guest at major festivals all over the world. His several recordings for BIS have typically opened up new musical avenues, with programmes ranging from early saxophone repertoire initiated by the brilliant entrepreneur Adolphe Sax, to avant-garde works and music inspired by Argentinian tango. In 1988 Claude Delangle was appointed professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris, where he has created the most prestigious saxophone class in the world. He is also in demand all over the world for masterclasses. Claude Delangle is currently in charge of a series at the publishing house Éditions Henri Lemoine, with the goal to publish new repertoire as well as developing pedagogical works. His research into the acoustic properties of the saxophone has been highly beneficial to his collaboration with the instrument builders Henri-Selmer-Paris.
