Prokofiev concerto: Recorded October 22 and 24, 1960.
In the remastering process, sophisticated digital transfer technology was employed to reveal the full bandwidth and dynamic range of the original master tapes. To preserve the quality of the source material during transfer, we rejected any process by which tape hiss or other minor imperfections in the source material could be minimized at the expense of the original musical program's sonic integrity. What you hear is the pure performance, presented in the original splendor.
