A life-long music enthusiast and champion of the arts, His Majesty has overseen, influenced and been personally involved in the commissioning process and the detail of the music programme, which will showcase and celebrate musical talent from across the United Kingdom and further afield.
The album features more than two hours of music from the Coronation, with 12 brand new works commissioned by his Majesty the King, including the Coronation Anthem 'Make A Joyful Noise' by Andrew Lloyd Webber and music from the ninth century to the present day.
Soloists include Sir Bryn Terfel, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, and Sir Antonio Pappano conducting a specially put-together 'Coronation Orchestra'.
