The Cuban-American pianist, Jorge Bolet (1914-1990), was a pupil of the great virtuoso, Leopold Godowsky. Bolet's career reached its peak during his later years (1970-1990) and it was during this period that he made a number of outstanding recordings for Decca - notably a series of recordings of Liszt's solo piano works and the music of Chopin.
