Kerson Leong, winner of the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition in 2010, and Jonathan Fournel, winner of the Queen Elisabeth International Grand Prix in 2021, have each recorded several albums for Alpha Classics.
Long-time collaborators and friends, they have come together around Fauré: "His music recalls in me the images of night, of shimmering water, of solace. He's one of the composers I return to most in which to seek comfort.", says Kerson. Jonathan continues: "His writing conveys something deeply human." They chose to record his two sonatas for violin and piano - written at opposite ends of his career - as well as a selection of transcriptions of melodies and short pieces, such as the famous Berceaux, Clair de lune, Après un rêve, Soir...
