Release Date: Monday 15 November 1999

He's been known as The Fresh Prince and Big Willie. He's a major acting, singing, rapping superstar. And now Will Smith has released the album of the millenium - "Willennium".

After early hits with "Summertime" and "Parents Just Don't Understand" (back in his days with DJ Jazzy Jeff), through to mega hits with "Men In Black", "Getting Jiggy With It", "Miami" and "Wild Wild West", Will Smith has been delivering smash singles for years. "Willennium" sees Will working with the hottest producers and guest artists in the r'n'b and pop world and this is the album to firmly place Will in the mega pop star category.

For his part, the engaging Smith calls this new set "the best work of my career". One of the first things you notice about "Willennium" is it's "oh wow" factor. That's the phrase that springs to mind when you hear some of the samples around which co-writer Smith has woven into the 15-track set.

The first single "Will 2K" featuring K-Ci, samples the Clash's "Rock The Kasbah". Interspersed elsewhere on the album are nuggets that include Diana Ross' "Love Hangover", LTD's "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again", "Sukiyaki" by A Taste Of Honey, Peter Brown's "Do Ya Wanna Get Funky With Me", Tito Puente's "Mambo Con Puente", Michael jackson's "working Day And Night" and Denice Williams' "I Believe In Miracles".
