From the French label F-Communications (F-Comm) that has delivered such legends as St Germain and Llorca, comes Aqua Bassino.

From a very early age, Jason Robertson (aka Aqua Bassino) has played in bands as a guitarist/bassist (hence the Bassino) and progressed to session work which took him onto London, Ibiza and beyond…

He began to experiment with samplers and synths and in 1994 he produced a demo for F-Comm, a label that he has always highly respected.

4 EP's later Aqua Bassino delivers his debut album 'Beats n' Bobs'.

'Beats n' Bobs' is a real collaboration effort, with appearances from Jazz musician/sax player Martin Kershaw, trumpet player Colin Steele, and guitarists Bensoni and Paco di Agua.

The album also features wonderful vocals from British Jazz singer Nikki King and African diva Nahawa Doumbia, who is famous for her works with Frederic Galliano.

'Beats n' Bobs' is a beautifully produced album full of jazzy sun-licked grooves, and sensual, deep vocals. Highly recommended!!!
