This American imported disc is the second studio release from the super-group project, comprised of Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater); Neal Morse (Spock's Beard); Pete Trewavas (Marillion); + Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings).
"Being the second studio release from this futuristic super-group, 'Bridge Across Forever' is an album of picturesque & evocative music containing a quartet of pieces, with a suitably epic feel to each of them. Said tracks evoke visions of bands such as Genesis, Rush, & Yes in their heyday. However, don't be mistaken, Messieurs Portnoy; Morse; Trewavas; and Stolt possess more than enough uniqueness + sheer talent in their own right to make this sophomore effort very special indeed. The songwriting & arrangements are gorgeously intricate, and the performances are equally first-rate.
This wonderful CD should be more than adequate nourishment for any serious progressive music fan looking for something with a classic '70s feel; but that which is also perched quite merrily alongside the more cutting-edge hard rock sound of today!"
