Mahinarangi Tocker's much anticipated new album "Hei Ha!" is now here. This is Mahinarangi's first album in five years and comprises sixteen tracks.
Described as "a breathtaking singer" with "an extraordinary, captivating voice", Mahinarangi is also highly respected as a composer and her songwriting on "Hei Ha!" shows just why her songs have been recorded and performed by Bic Runga, Annie Crummer, Greg Johnson, Moana & The Moahunters, Fiona McDonald, Hinewehi Mohi, etc.
The radio-friendly "Danger Kissing", the anthemic "Forever", the personal "Maggie Goodbye" and the powerful "Holy Laws"/"Where Do We Grow To" are just some of the highlights.
As well as the English language songs, there are five short Maori language Waiata which include Mahinarangi's family and the Charlotte Yates' produced "Kei Hea Koe".
Mahinarangi Tocker has become well known for her live performances over the past two decades both in NZ and overseas.
