Co-produced by Bo Ramsey and Pieta herself, Pieta Brown's self-titled debut is subtle and refreshing. Augmented by the rhythm section of Rick Cicalo and Steve Hayes, the band provides a cool-blue backdrop. Ramsey and Pieta's sister, Constie Brown, shadow with ghostly backing vocals, and her father Greg Brown picks a little banjo and even chimes in with a vocal line.

Folk veteran Dave Moore chips in with some sterling button accordion, and Don Heffington delivers additional drums and percussion. With her words, with the sounds, and in the gaps in between, she'll take you to places she's been, and beyond.
