Warm, socially conscious and uplifting hip hop that unites bangin' beats with the live bass, Rhodes, percussion and turntables of their multi-talented members
Open Thought is a live hip hop trio coming straight out of New York City.
Their new album 'Force Of Life' is a warm, socially conscious and uplifting hip hop record that unites bangin' beats with the live bass, Rhodes, percussion and turntables of their multi-talented members.
Open Thought graced these shores as opening act for Blackalicious, blowing away the crowd with their positive message, cool, laidback grooves and a formidable shell of mic skills.
'Force Of Life' represents the heart of hip hop, embracing beatboxing, the spirit of spoken word & the influence of jazz, reggae and soul. This is music to make you feel good about yourself, the world and your place in it. For real.
"Lyrically flowing, musically innovative political hip hop in the old school tradition of Public Enemy and KRS-One." - Chicago Sun Times
