From the heart of Grand Central comes Dual Control with their debut album 'Left Or Right'. The duo comprise studio boffin Mark Ball (collaborator on Aim's classic 'Cold Water Music', Rae and Christian's 'Sleepwalking' and Riton's superb 'Beats Du Jour') and DJ Phil Styles, whose love of bass was born out of Manchester's 'Street Soul' soundsystems and nurtured with 15yrs experience DJing on pirate radio stations.

Dual Control's sound is big bass lines, scratching by DJ Styles, layered horns and hard beats. With its strings, organic sounds and samples of real vocals and instruments, Dual Control have produced an album that embraces their love of different types of music. Check 'Burn It Out' feat. Spikey T (Bomb The Bass, Aim live) with its dark and bass heavy ragga beats, 'Stoned Mason' feat. Peter Parker (Fingathing) and 'Optical' for straight up dirty hip hop, while their penchant for film scores is satisfied with the Bond-esque 'Do You Remember?' and 'Spring Again' feat. Loretta (Mo' Wax, Bugz In The Attic) with its ethereal female vocal is a delicate intricate 'proper' song.

Dual Control have concocted a considered and precise, beautiful album on many levels, which illustrates their mature, dark, street soul bass production style with an eye focused firmly on the dancefloor.
