Basing their mixture of sonic madness on the core ingredients of hard drums, big bass and razor-sharp guitars, degrees.k create an intense wall of energetic sound.
Degrees.k formed in late-99 in the South Island of New Zealand and released two self-funded EPs ('Jay.Tee.Four.P' and 'Click') and their debut album 'Lifelike' between 2000 and 2002, with the help of Christchurch's Failsafe Records.
Breaking out of NZ in 2003, degrees.k bucked the trend of bands heading to Melbourne when they re-located in Sydney. Since then, the group have sent a pulse through the Australian industry with maddening live performances defined by intense and unorthodox songs vigorously delivered by a band in full control of their sound.
2004 has seen the band support the likes of Pacifier, The Icarus Line, Mess Hall and Butterfly Effect on national tours, heralding the arrival of a new player in the great rock n' roll diversion!
