Since her professional debut in 1992 Ali Harper has performed in countless musicals, cabarets and revues throughout NZ.

She has portrayed many of the best known and most coveted female lead roles in musical theatre including Maria Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and, most recently, Eva Peron (alternative performer) in the NZ Tour of Evita.

Ali's debut album "Something So Right" is a collection of her personal favourites from the 1970s - the decade she was born in and a musical era she rates as the finest in terms of melody, energy and lyrics. Ali's jazzy/easy listening vocal style fits effortlessly with the clean, sophisticated (including symphony orchestras and big bands) and contemporary musical arrangements.

The tracklisting includes Close To You (a huge hit for The Carpenters in 1970), You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, How Deep Is Your Love, Longer, Evergreen, Something So Right, Beautiful Sunday, Listen To The Music, In The Midnight Hour, When I Need You, You Are So Beautiful and Christmas Never Felt Like This Before (which articulates the special bond between mother & daughter at Christmas time).
