This pair throw down an upfront mix of block rockin' beats and cleverly interwoven samples in the style of RJD2, DJ Shadow or Madlib.
<sum> DJ T-Rock is part old school, part new school and 100% showman and performer. What makes this San Francisco based turntablist stand apart from other scratch DJs is he doesn't just cut up hip hop beats, but also classic rock beats, splicing them with old bluesy vocal snippets and hooks, to create dancefloor-filling, rump-shaking party starters.
Recording for San Fran label Bomb Hip Hop, headlining their US and European tours, playing in Amanda Perez' band and working on a forthcoming collaboration with DJ Shadow - T-Rock's star is on the rise.
The album 'Rock and Squash Techniques' is a collaboration with Atlanta producer Squashy Nice, which sees the pair throw down an upfront mix of block rockin' beats and cleverly interwoven samples in the style of RJD2, DJ Shadow or Madlib.
