There is a whole spectrum of things that make up the man Peven Everett: he is not a jazz artist nor a house artist, despite having worked extensively in both genres. His love affair with music has helped him spawn a style all his own.

Awarded a Berkeley School of Music scholarship at 17, Peven moved on to a US tour with jazz greats Winton Marsalis, Betty Carter and Brandford Marsalis, recorded trumpet solos on Curtis Lundy's album 'Against All Odds' and has also recorded deep house mixes with Terry Callier, utilizing fully the six labels, including ABB Soul, he is currently signed to.

The album 'Studio Confessions', his first soul-inspired full-length, offers an intimate look at this soul child as he shares snapshots of his life. Blessed with a beautifully smooth and dynamic voice, Peven delivers his songs with a passion and energy comparable to Stevie Wonder, Prince, Marvin Gaye, D'Angelo and Donny Hathaway.
