Originally released in 2005, this is two jam-packed discs featuring all 25 singles from their Jeepster years - from 1997 to 2002 - and widely considered to be some of the band's strongest work.

Belle & Sebastian are the much-loved Scottish outfit led by guitarist / vocalist Stuart Murdoch. A rag-tag 7-piece band of musical troubadours, Belle & Sebastian have an intimate, majestic sound that is equal parts folk rock and '60s pop.

After the success of their album 'Dear Catastrophe Waitress', (nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and the Ivor Novello Award), the group returned with TWO jam-packed CDs featuring all 25 singles from their Jeepster years.

Yes, that's right, 'Push Barman to Open Old Wounds' is a chronological double-disc collection of all the songs from the band's seven Jeepster EP and single releases from 1997 to 2002, compiled together!

The songs here, almost all re-mastered for the album, date back to the early days of Belle and Sebastian's career including the EPs 'Dog On Wheels', 'Lazy Line Painter Jane' and '3… 6… 9 Seconds Of Light', as well as their most successful single "Legal Man" and their last single for Jeepster, "I'm Waking Up to Us".

None of these songs had been featured on a Belle & Sebastian album before and as individual catalogue singles become increasingly difficult to track down - this collection is intended to keep what is widely considered to be some of the band's strongest work, available for years to come.
