Staring Into Space

Silicone Soul aka Craig Morrison and Graeme Reedie, are back with their new album 'Staring Into Space', a stellar composition of deep and emotive music for dancing and home grooving. 'Staring Into Space' reflects the development and cohesiveness of the duo's sound. As Craig says: "We have tried to make an album of music with a vibe running through it rather than merely a house album."

Their trademark liquid house sound and tight beats are here in abundance, fused with a marvelous musicality and substance that prevails throughout. Hypnotic, dubbed out grooves are reminiscent of their classic tracks, brimming with lush textures, echo and space, while there are also psychedelic expeditions into space-jazz, a supreme slice of future disco, a chunky tribute to the US house sound of the early '90s and an astro-house anthem, in "Feeling Blue".

It's been four years since Silicone Soul conquered the world with their stunning homage to Curtis Mayfield, 'Right On!', which deserves the tag "classic" and propelled the duo into the UK Top 20. Much of new album 'Staring Into Space' though, avoids predictable dance pop formulas, daring to mix minimal with dub and house, to create a masterpiece of modern electronica.
