MxPx has undergone a punk rock revival and their new album 'Panic' is the blistering result. The three-piece have stripped every bit of gimmickry and artificial sweetener from their brand of West Coast punk and released an album which will please the thousands of punks who have been looking for a new battle cry to sing as they raise their banner and fists in the air.

'Panic' is MxPx's first release on Side One Dummy Records and the follow-up to 2003's 'Before Everything and After'. 'Panic' heralds a new MxPx, with a rawer, heavier sound and darker, more poignant tracks. After thirteen years, three labels, six albums and a career retrospective DVD, something had to change - so don't expect the same upbeat punk pop melodies of their last few albums!

Blink 182 frontman and longtime friend Mark Hoppus has a co-writers credit on the record and Gavin McKillop [Goo Goo Dolls, Sugarcult] was recruited to produce the album, recorded in a flurry of activity over just 22 days.

'Panic' is a glimpse at a world nearing critical mass, but with a renewed energy and hope, for not only the future of music, but for our generation. With 'Panic', MxPx seized the chance to forge into the future with a second wind and a newfound maturity.
