We Are Motorhead

Release Date: Tuesday 16 May 2000

Another rip-roaring set of rockers, 'We are Motorhead' is made up of 10 cuts, and is imported directly from America. As Alan Burridge says: "After all those years they still know how to burn, they still know how to excite and they still take absolutely NO prisoners. Don't ya just love 'em to death for it!"

"The lyrics to "We are Motorhead" we're thrust into my hands, along with others, by an eager Lemmy some eighteen months ago on the 'Snake Bite Love' tour of G.B. As ever, all his lyrics astound and beguile me and I always read them through at least twice; but the lyrics for "We are Motorhead" were so poignant and right-between-the-eyes I could do little more than read them three times then say to him : 'These have to be a song or an album title, please, don't lose them!'

Thankfully, he was as pleased and proud of writing them as I was grateful to read them and now, they are indeed an album track and title; and what an album it is to blast its way into the 21st Century! Every track has all the power and glory of the Motorhead we have come to know and adore during this past quarter century, but more so.

All the tracks on 'We Are Motorhead' have some extra bite and edge to them, and even when the roar lets up for "One More F**king Time", it roars at a slightly slower speed but still rips your head off. Motorhead have excelled once again, but don't we say that each time an album gets unleashed? After all those years they still know how to burn, they still know how to excite and they still take absolutely NO prisoners. Don't ya just love 'em to death for it!"
