Sasha is one of the best known DJs on the planet. His DJ career has seen him go from underground star to household name, associating with some of the world's best and brightest labels along the way, including Bedrock, Global Underground and many more.

'Fundacion NYC' is a snapshot of Sasha's recent residencies at New York's Crobar and L.A.'s Avalon, capturing the spirit and the sound of the club night. It's also where Sasha takes his revolutionary Ableton mixing system to another level: he has ditched the traditional Technics decks and CDJs to take Ableton on the road. To do this, he and a technician friend worked for months creating a bespoke, state-of-the-art mixing console, allowing Sasha to sample, loop, layer and re-edit live in the booth every night.

Compiled in just a few days, 'Fundacion NYC' is the sound of the Ableton [nicknamed The Maven] set up in live action and intuitively matches some of the coolest electro-house sounds around with forgotten classics Sasha has revived and reworked. Sometimes as many as five tracks come together at once to create completely new tunes - without getting overcrowded.

Featuring artists such as Swayzak, Funk Da Void, Playgroup, Freeform Five, Goldfrapp and Adam Johnson, as well as re-mixes by Carl Craig, Ewan Pearson and Tiefschwarz, 'Fundacion NYC' captures a great DJ having the time of his life.
