BIOGRAPHY:
Denise Norton was born in New Zealand where she studied Music and Dance. She was a pupil of Dame Sister May Leo, and her first professional experience was gathered with »The New Zealand Opera company« in such productions as La Bohème, Die Hochzeit des Figaro, La Traviata and Bartered Bride. She also gave concerts and worked in Film Productions. In 1984 after succesful Touring season of EVITA in New Zealand, Australia and Hawaii she travelled to London to continue her studies with »The Royal School of Music« and »The Actors Center«.

In 1985 Denise first set foot on the European Continent with a production of CATS in Hamburg. Shortly after she moved to New York to experiment with Jazz singing. Since returning to Germany, Denise has been involved in Gala and Concert Performances and performed at »Theater des Westens« in Sweet Charity and Ufa Revue.

In the last ten years she has been involved in the Theater an der Wien production of Musical Classics, the Highlights of Andrew Lloyd Webber - in various roles - and appeared as the Fairy in the German production of Beauty and the Beast. In 2003 Denise was personally commended by Harold Prince, original director of Evita, Phantom of the Opera, Kiss of the Spider Woman among many Stephen Sondheim Musicals.

In 1999 she produced her first Solo CD 'Never Say Goodby' and is happy to announce the 2006 release of her new CD 'Whispering Sands'. The European release of this album was hailed as "A wonderful orchestrated solo album from Germany's well known and treasured New Zealander"
