Resurrectors capture the spirit and joy that is at the heart of reggae - and expresses some personal experience & perspective on Australian life. "I would add them to the list of great NZ & Aus dub / reggae collectives. This is awesome!”

"I'm not sure where to start with this... put simply, it's awesome! 45min of outstanding dub and reggae. From the vocal driven "Deep", which talks about love being found deep inside, to the guitar and horn driven "Rasta Live" or the higher vocal notes reached in "Let Rhythms Flow", the album held me throughout. I had it playing on the train ride home and an hour later I found myself unknowingly whistling the tune from "Take A Little Break"."

The Resurrectors are a 9-piece dub reggae band from Sydney, comprising an eclectic mix of talent including local Aussies, as well as musicians originally from Barbados, South Africa, England and NZ. 'Healing' is the band's debut album and has already won them some talented fans: 'Healing' features a bonus remix of the title track from Fat Freddy's Drop's DJ Fitchie aka Mu.

'Healing' combines great songwriting and soulful performances with a social conscience and in doing so, delivers a very powerful and compelling musical message - The Resurrectors not only capture the spirit and joy that is at the heart of reggae, it expresses some personal experience and perspective on Australian life, while giving thanks to the originators of the idiom.

The band tap into a rich and soulful tradition while presenting their sound in a current and contemporary style, perhaps thanks to the array of fine musicians, both imported and local - some of Sydney's finest such as Cameron Deyell [Bertie Blackman/Inge Lilestrom], Jon Pease [Paul Mac], Peter Firth [Kingtide] and Declan Kelly, a successful solo artist in his own right.

The Resurrectors have built an incredible live reputation in Aus thanks to extensive touring, supporting some of NZ's finest, such as Fat Freddy's Drop and The Black Seeds for their recent sojourns across the Tasman. The band are creating waves in Aus thanks to the title track being selected for iTunes 'Single of the Week' in the Apple iTunes Music Store.

"A fine slice of soulful reggae... similar to the soul / reggae sound of NZ superstars Fat Freddys Drop.”
